Never realised the depth of what it meant every time my Mom said "wait till you become a mother"! Always left me wondering whether she hates the feeling, loves it sooo much that it hurts or is confused about it...
9 months into holding life inside of me and 24 months of actually nurturing it and I can somewhat put a finger to the statement.
Adi turns 2 this Sunday and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to unfold this wonderful side of life. Milestone reached but my head is reeling with thoughts of the future, challenges of the present and bewilderment of the past not to mention frustration of handling the terrible 2's too!!!
Looking forward to the next year and all the wonderful experiences it's set to unfold.
A short note from a proud Mumma of a 2 year old... :D
Wonder if you’ve had a situation akin to mine? My name (allegedly male in origin); has often met the fate of a raised eyebrow. While outcome of every direct chat was a pleasant experience the confusion laced interaction still prevails! In my constant effort to beat initial barriers related to my name, I devote this blog to the unique meaning 'Suhael- Venus, planet of love' which is very feminine & belongs to 'MY' gender, as praise to many of us in a similar situation.

Hey Amrita,
I can understand what you feel..i still cant believe that i am a mother of a 11 yr old( nearly a teenager )and a 4 year old... i think motherhood is the best thing that happened to me.. never realised what i would be like.. Conceived Shreya when i was still studying( ofcourse married), wrote my law exams while craving for cadburys...not to miss neeraj always packed a whole lot of them in my bag...Today a beautiful young lady that she has turned out to be with the most beautiful heart.. she is a total blend of neeraj n me...she understands us more than anyone else can and she is one of the most un-demanding child hat i have come across...when Mayara happened ...she happened only for Shreya and you wont believe it, shreya was the first one to hold her when the nurse got her out from the OT..
Mayara is a total brat and knows how to live her life on her own terms and i respect her for that.. She at this age also knows what is right and wrong for her....
Amrita, ma is absolutely right.. u understand when u become a mom..
enjoy your baby, give him all the love...give him your smile/ laugh...give him the ability to love unconditionally like his dad...
take care lotsa love,
