Parent to a y2k todler...

My first post after the birth of Advaita- my 22 month old son.

y2k? A term that died a rapid death but left back a changed world. A world that has forgotten how a paper envelope looks; a world that reads news on networking apps; a world which is now 'boundary less'!

Diaper rash- a phenomenon that I can't recall my son suffering; thanks to overload of information. Todler cot; a habit that Adi got into from the moment we stepped into our home. Finger food; a step towards independent growing up. Mother-todler montessorie school; a choice made as early as when Adi was 11 months and thus a strikingly independent "not yet" 2 year old todler!

Philosophy of parenting is seeing a rapid change. Complexity of course is unavoidable! We are grappling with schooling options- from straight to international to home schooling! While we are patient in some ways we are silently demanding in others.

Life has become so digital. It is all about bits n bytes...

Wish we could slowdown our pace and go back to the simple and straight magical world that was all about decoding emotions by feeling it...

Processed is in but at the cost of diminishing simplicity.
